Is your March coming in like a Lamb or
Lion?? Wow those of you who missed the Annual Meeting sure missed out on a tremendous amount of information. This is one meeting
a year that should be a big priority for attending. Since we have teamed up with the Chi Association the Annual Meetings have
been great. 2009 Annual meeting will be same time and same place. Mark it on your calandars NOW, you won't want to miss it.
I have enclosed the agenda for the meeting you may have missed for your information. The meal was great and socializing was also.
The
austion held to benefit the Jr. Associations was fun and wild. Really great items that families and businesses donated.
Our association
held a breif business meeting after the other activities. New board members for 2 year terms are Amanda Veen, Bill Martyn and Duane
Simpkins. Special thanks to Joe Zietz for fulfilling his term. And Welcome aboard Amanda Veen. Our board moved to reinstall all officers
for the coming year as they stand.
Beef Expo to be held April 4,5,6th 2008, don't forget to attend this event.
Beef expo
consignments are down in numbers with the Maine and up for the Chi's. Sale committee concerned with not getting complete and appropriate
information thus holding up publication of sale catalogs. Once again if any one can help out at the sale please see Lorren.
Help is always appreciated. Don't forget to check out the trade floor exhibits while you are at the Expo. LOTS going on.
Concern
has been expressed regarding support of our Jr. Association. Jrs continue to need sponsorship of classes and reprsentation to
attend the Jr. Assoc. Meetings. Please contact Kristina, 3095 53rd St, Hamilton, MI 49419 (269) 751-5527 if you can sponsor a class
or have a business that would do so.
Next board meeting to be held at the Beef Expo Saturday, April 5th 11 a.m. meet in the Maine
